Happy world breastfeeding week mamas!
As women we are so incredibly created in a way that we can nourish our babies with our own bodies.
Being able to breastfeed is an absolutely magical experience 🧡 It’s not always an easy journey and can often bring a lot of stress and even tears. It takes great effort and strength to get through the first months. Your time is not your own, you have to sacrifice many things, your days might seem a little messy and you may feel like you are not getting much done. It can be painful and uncomfortable at times too. You may be limited to what you wear to make sure you are able to feed on demand. You will see many long nights with frequent wake ups. You may feel exhausted yet feel empowered at the same time.
We know it can be hard and we thank you, and want you to know you are appreciated and you are an amazing mother!
We are often put under so much pressure as mamas, to make sure we breastfeed our babies and we are told to do it for as long as possible. We are not all able to breastfeed due to nutrition, work, not enough milk or other personal reasons.
We just want you to know that we see you. No matter how you choose to feed your baby. If you breastfeed for a day, a month or a year. If you pump and bottle feed. If you formula feed. No matter what you choose, it does not make you less important or less of a great mother! You are still incredible and valued and you should be proud of yourself! A fed baby, is the best baby!
So today we would just like to acknowledge all the mothers who are currently on their breastfeeding journey or about to embark on one , we wish you a wonderful journey ahead! For those of you who were unable or had to cut your breastfeeding journey short, you should know you are equally important. We thank you all for keeping your babies full and healthy!
We at Rookie also know how important it is to get your baby fed as soon as possible when they are hungry, which is why all our carriers are optimised for easy adjustment - allowing you to quickly loosen the straps and feed your baby without difficulty.
So enjoy your week! Happy world breastfeeding week!
Be strong. Be brave.
